Eddie Stubbings

Systemic Counsellor and Psychotherapist with Passion

Eddie

Hi! I’m Eddie

I’m passionate about trauma and relational therapy, and I work with individuals, couples, and families..

My approach is systemic, which means I understand challenges in the context of relationships, histories, and the broader systems we live within.

At the heart of my work is the belief that there is nothing fundamentally “wrong” with you. That the ways we learn to cope and adapt make sense in the environment we’ve lived through, even when they no longer serve us today.

Over the years, I’ve seen how trauma therapies and systemic approaches can help people reconnect with their sense of self. That’s been true in my own life—something I’m deeply grateful for—and I’ve had the privilege of witnessing it in those I work with.

Together, we’ll make sense of your experiences and give voice to your feelings and I’m committed to you feeling heard and understood every step of the way.

Our work may include:

  • Deepening awareness of your family system
  • Understanding and shifting relational patterns
  • Exploring your nervous system’s responses in context
  • Processing unresolved emotions while staying grounded in the
  • present
  • Reconnecting with your strengths and values
  • Creating a vision for a life that feels meaningful to you

We will co-create a space of collaboration, curiosity, and even humour—where all your parts are welcome. So you can move through your world with more self-leadership, connection, and freedom within yourself.

Areas of Focus:

  • Adults and young people aged 13 and over. LGBTQIA+ Ally lgbtqi logo
  • Anxiety & Depression
  • Trauma and Complex PTSD
  • ADHD
  • ASD
  • Attachment Injuries
  • Addiction
  • Couples
  • Family and Intimate Relationships
  • Life and Parenting Transitions
  • Sexual Abuse
  • Stress and Burnout
  • Grief and Loss

    Please note:

My process for family therapy begins with at least one individual session with one or more family members or partners. This helps establish safety and clarifies our hoped-for outcomes. From there, we can move into family work.

In some situations, a family member does not need to be present. For example, two parents may seek support in understanding and responding to their child, even if the child does not attend the appointment.

My process for couples therapy can begin with a session together or an individual session prior to attending together.
